SURPRISES ARE COMING SOON!!!

Happy Sunday Morning!

It's been a crazy week, filled with ups and downs.  I'm doing my best to stay positive and not kill someone.  I mean, I have no time for going to jail, so I'm gonna try to maintain my composure.

As I sit here trying to write to you, my 10 year old is sitting next to me.  I have a cup of coffee getting cold...I'm on the patio, enjoying the sun and the lack of humidity.  It's almost time to go in and get ready for church.  I'm typing, trying to concentrate, and she is yapping at me as though she has been given a 1 minute time limit to tell me every single thought that enters her mind.  I have explained to her once that I am trying to work, and to please hang on for a minute.  Yet, she continues.

Random thoughts, by Mady.  Apparently, I have a subscription to that feed.  I just didn't know it.  :)

So, as I try to focus on YOU, and our little coffee talk this morning, I am riddled with crazy thoughts bombarding me.  My work life is about to kill me.  If you don't already know, my husband and I are business owners.  Amazing Walls and Waterfalls is a hardscape installation company, and we specialize in installing all kinds of fun things like outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, waterfalls, inground pools, retaining walls, patios, etc.  Unfortunately, having your own business means being a grown up pretty much ALL the time.  Ugh.  Sometimes I just wish I could be 5 again.

(Sidebar:  As I type, my 5 year old is exhuming what first appeared to be ancient artifacts from my flower bed.  Upon further inspection, he has discovered that our two year old dog has confiscated half of his shoe collection and buried them among my hostas.  He has found 3 shoes in a matter of minutes, and has just announced that it's like a scavenger hunt!  Now, dammit, why couldn't we have discovered this a few days ago, before I replaced the flip flops that mysteriously went missing just days after purchase?)

So, even though work is requiring me to be mature and such, I am still as giddy as a school girl about something else.  I got a big surprise this week, and I am almost ready to share it with all of you.  ALMOST being the key word.  I can hardly contain myself, as it could just be the beginning to a new chapter in my life.  An opportunity to fulfill a promise I made to the Big Guy a long time ago.  A chance to help people.  A chance to make something good out of something bad.

I don't wanna spill the beans too soon.  So... stand by and stay tuned.

Surprises are in store, kids.  :)

I suppose it's time to get ready for church.  They typically frown upon people showing up with uncombed hair and wearing an old t-shirt and  men's boxer shorts.  Rules, rules, rules.

Have a beautiful Sunday.  I'm trying hard to focus on the positives today, and not the negatives that are sort of freaking me out at this point.  :)  And buckle up.  I'm excited to share my surprise with you soon!
